The colors of CRW Decor didn't begin with a paint chart.
They grew from my years working with period European furniture and decorative arts, where color was something to be studied, uncovered and understood. Beneath the years of wax, varnish and restoration were extraordinary pigments-earthy mineral tones, powdered colors, deep dyes and layered finishes whose beauty came as much from their subtle imperfections as their richness.
Traditional European craftsmen created color slowly. Pigments were ground from minerals and earth, powders were blended by hand, dyes were drawn from natural materials, and finishes were built in translucent layers. The resulting colours possessed a depth and complexity rarely found in a single, flat shade.
Years spent conserving these pieces taught me to recognize those nuances: the blue-gray of an aged painted surface, the warmth beneath an old burgundy, the almost-black depth of a European plum, or the way a centuries-old green changes character as light moves across it.
The CRW Decor Colour Collection is my interpretation of that history for modern interiors.
Rather than simply reproducing historic colours, I carry their undertones, relationships and character forward into a contemporary palette. Bridge Road Burgundy, Charleston Charcoal, Cinque Terre Clay, Reykjavik Rain, European Evening and the carefully crafted hues that accompany them are informed by those Old World traditions, then reimagined for the way we live today.
Some are inspired by places. Others by objects, architecture, landscapes or a particular quality of light. But each is intended to have the depth and individuality I learned to appreciate while working with European antiques and period finishes.
They aren't meant to make a space look old.
They're meant to bring forward what the Old World understood about colour-and make it feel entirely at home in the present.

A deep, cultivated burgundy with the richness of aged wine and polished mahogany. Dramatic yet timeless, it brings warmth, heritage and quiet sophistication to an interior.

A sophisticated near-black charcoal with remarkable depth. Tailored, architectural and effortlessly chic, it gives both traditional and contemporary pieces a distinctly modern edge.

A sun-warmed terracotta inspired by the weathered façades of the Italian Riviera. Earthy and inviting, its muted clay undertones bring an easy Mediterranean warmth to a room.

A cool, atmospheric blue-gray inspired by Iceland beneath an overcast sky. Serene and understated, it shifts beautifully with the light for a sophisticated, quietly moody effect.

A deep aubergine-plum reminiscent of the last light settling over an old European city. Rich and enigmatic, it offerian unexpected alternative to traditional navy, brown or black.

A cultivated heritage green inspired by the landscape of West Virginia’s Greenbrier Valley. Deep, organic and enduring, it feels equally at home among antiques, rich woods and modern furnishings.

A deep, tailored navy with a distinctly European sensibility. Classic without being conventional, it delivers the drama of a dark color while retaining the richness and refinement of blue.

A softly luminous neutral inspired by early morning along Florence’s Arno river. Warm, refined and remarkably versatile, it provides a quiet backdrop for both collected and contemporary interiors.

A tranquil blue-gray with a soft, sophisticated presence. Inspired by the changing tones of the Seine, it brings an elegant calmness without ever feeling cold.

A sumptuous, sophisticated plum with unmistakable presence. Equal parts classic and unexpected, it transforms furniture and interiors with a distinctly cosmopolitan character.

A warm, glowing burnt orange, inspired by the extraordinary amber light that falls between Manhattan’s buildings at a particular sunset. Sophisticated and luminous, it adds warmth without overwhelming its surroundings.
